How to Optimize Your Hcareers Profile With Your Resume

Adding a resume to your Hcareers profile will bring you one step closer to finding the perfect job opportunity for you.

To fully optimize your profile, make sure to make yourself searchable, and complete as many sections as possible. Each section is worth a percentage of completeness, and the more finished your profile is, the more employers will look through your qualifications.

Each profile section and its percentages:

A profile image (15%) – Add credibility to your profile and help recruiters recognize you with a photo. Be sure to choose a professional headshot that isn’t blurry.

A personal statement (25%) – Stand out with a brief summary of your personal and professional goals, as well as any unique experiences, skills, or achievements.

Upload at least one resume (25%) – Simply drag and drop to upload your resume. Choose to display your resume to employers and don’t forget to add a resume title.

Connect social media profiles (5%) – Let recruiters view your other social accounts. Double-check that the content is appropriate and professional.

Value Selections (30%) – Choose up to 10 values and we’ll find potential employers whose values align. Select those that mean the most to you.

Why upload a resume or resumes?

Hcareers recently added a Resume Database Search for employers to find candidates that match closely with their qualifications. Job seekers who are registered on the Hcareers website can only be part of that search if they have an uploaded resume on their profile.

Here are the benefits to uploading a resume on your profile in addition to employers being able to find your resume:

You can organize your resume or resumes directly in your profile for easy access. You can upload multiple resumes, so if you want to have a general resume and one for specific positions you can keep them on your profile and easily apply to positions with the correct resume.
- Tip: Use a naming system for your resume or resumes that will allow you and employers to easily identify what position you are applying for and how recently you updated your resume. For example, NAME_DATE_POSITION TITLE.

Your resume will get you more exposure to employers that you may not have considered in your original search but that is a great fit and interested in you as a candidate.

You can apply to positions on any mobile device since your resume will be saved to your profile instead of a document on your computer.

Since Hcareers is focused on hospitality opportunities, you will only be contacted by hospitality employers.

Picking Values

When finalizing your profile, you can choose up to 10 values that you are looking for in an employer. Employers also choose 10 values that define them as a company and then the Hcareers software can match up candidates and employer profiles that have matching or similar values.
